My name is Dr. Darcie Little Badger – you can call me Darcie or DLB, too.
I’m an enrolled member of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas. There are hundreds of indigenous tribes/nations in the United States, all distinct, so I prefer to be called a “Lipan Apache writer” or “Apache writer” instead of “Native American writer.”
Lastly, my pronouns are she/her/hers.
